Oklahoma City homeowners leave goody bags for postal carriers - Article Photos 22/241

Russell Henderson noticed postal worker George Staros needed some help getting out of a snow drift on Douglas Blvd. near SE 15th Street. Henderson attached a chain from his truck to the mail truck and then helped dig snow from beneath the tires of Staros' vehicle. Within ten minutes, the two men had freed the vehicle and Staros continued with his mail delivery duties. A winter storm created whiteout conditions and caused snow drifts that made problems for the few motorists who ventured out Tuesday morning, Feb. 1, 2011. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman
