CHILD / CHILDREN / KIDS: Corey Durham, left, and Sam Hurt came as Indians to the Thanksgiving celebration. These boys are among the fourth grade students who "buddied" with a younger student at the event. Pre-kindergarten students partnered with fourth grade "buddies" to learn about the history of Thanksgiving by dressing as Pilgrims and Indians and enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving meal in the cafeteria of Cleveland Bailey Elementary School in Midwest City on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011. Pre-kindergarten teacher Linda Curry has been organizing and hosting this meal for her students at the school for at least 18 years. Food was provided by teachers and parents of pre-K students. The children were served ham and turkey with dressing, green beans, sweet potato casserole, rolls and an assortment of desserts. The pre-K students dressed as Pilgrims; many of the fourth grade students wore a feather headband and portrayed the Native Americans present at America's first Thanksgiving meal.
