Article Photos: Possible Medicaid rule change has Oklahoma mother worried 3/14

Joey Zeno sits in his wheel chair at his home on Monday, March 4, 2013, in Mustang, Okla. Joey has Cri du Chat syndrome which is a condition that is similar to autism, but requires around the clock medical supervision. Zeno's mother Ashley is a nurse as well as Joey's in home nurse. Recent proposals by The Oklahoma Health Care Authority want to eliminate the ability of family members serving as in-home nurses, and being reimbursed for the care they provide. For Zeno, this means she would need to find two dependable in-home nurses, and a job outside the home that would let her take off for the multiple doctor appointments Joey requires each week.Photo by Chris Landsberger, The Oklahoman
