Ashton Forston carries board games she found in the rubble of Trina Minnick's home at 936 SW 15. Forston showed up in the neighborhood with her boyfriend and her mom, and another man. They spent several hours going through the remains of Minnick's house, rescuing plastic tubs filled with family keepsakes, photo albums and mementos. Minnick said resolutely, "we're not moving back," and she indicated several of her neighbors have told her they don't plan to return, either. Volunteers from various parts of the country joined Oklahomans in assisting residents on Saturday, May 25, 2013, doing whatever was needed to remove debris and salvage items from this neighborhood east of Santa Fe, north of SW 19 Street. An EF5 tornado leveled many neighborhoods in Moore and southwest Oklahoma City last Monday. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman.
