Dan Wiechmann is a carpenter who came down from his job in Minnesota to help the Moore tornado victims. He sits in the front yard of a heavily damaged home and refreshes himself with liquids during a short break in clean-up efforts Saturday. The volunteers said the American flag was already planted in the yard when they arrived at the house. Volunteers from various parts of the country joined Oklahomans in assisting residents on Saturday, May 25, 2013, doing whatever was needed to remove debris and salvage items from this neighborhood east of Santa Fe, north of SW 19 Street. An EF5 tornado leveled many neighborhoods in Moore and southwest Oklahoma City last Monday. Photo by Jim Beckel, The Oklahoman.
