Article Photos: Medical examiner confirms two children and seven adults die in Friday evening tornadoes 43/109

People came to the Horn home to help them salvage items. This photo shows the front of their house-- at right is the walkway to the front door; on the left half of the wall is a bedroom without exterior walls. Fred and JoAnn Horn have lived in their home at 4924 SW 15 in El Reno since 1978. He is a retired state trooper and now serves as a deputy for the Canadian County Sheriff's Department. Their home was heavily damaged in Friday night's tornado. More than two dozen family members, church friends and neighbors came to the Horn's home on Saturday, June 1, 2013, to help recover items that can be saved. Fred and JoAnn were in a neighbor's cellar with 10 others when the tornado ravaged homes in the area. Fred said he saw the twisters as they approached-- "one big one and two smaller ones," he said. He said he's watched at least 15 tornadoes come over the hill near his home in the years he and his wife have lived there , but then he added, "our luck run out yesterday."
