People arrived at Fred and JoAnn Horn's home to help in their salvage efforts. Two girls walk through debris in the front part of the house as they make their way to a back bedroom. Fred and JoAnn Horn have lived in their home at 4924 SW 15 in El Reno since 1978. He is a retired state trooper and now serves as a deputy for the Canadian County Sheriff's Department. Their home was heavily damaged in Friday night's tornado. More than two dozen family members, church friends and neighbors came to the Horn's home on Saturday, June 1, 2013, to help recover items that can be saved. Fred and JoAnn were in a neighbor's cellar with 10 others when the tornado ravaged homes in the area. Fred said he saw the twisters as they approached-- "one big one and two smaller ones," he said. He said he's watched at least 15 tornadoes come over the hill near his home in the years he and his wife have lived there , but then he added, "our luck run out yesterday."
