Oklahoma's black bear archery hunting season opened Tuesday in the southeastern Oklahoma counties of Pushmatha, McCurtain, Le Flore and Latimer counties. Hunters had checked in 21 bears as of Friday morning but were finding less success than last year. Archery season for bears remains open through Oct. 20.
