Article Photos: The '92 riot: Revisiting a dark day in LA history 1/20

On April 19, 2012, Henry Keith Watson poses for a portrait on the corner of Florence and Normandie in Los Angeles, where Watson and others dragged truck driver Reginald Denny from his cab and beat him severely on the first night of rioting. The acquittal of four police officers in the videotaped beating of King sparked rioting that spread across the city and into neighboring suburbs. Cars were demolished and homes and businesses were burned. Before order was restored, 55 people were dead, 2,300 injured and more than 1,500 buildings were damaged or destroyed.( (AP Photo/Matt Sayles)
