Gambling cited as horse official George Canady stands accused of embezzling
Before resigning in 2007, the executive director of a horsemen’s association embezzled more than $210,000 because of a gambling problem, state agents report.
George Ronald Canady , 55, of Oklahoma City was arrested Friday by agents of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation . He was charged Thursday in Oklahoma County District Court with three felony embezzlement counts.
