ENID — An inmate at the Garfield County jail has been arraigned on assault charges after prosecutors accused him of attacking workers at the detention center.
Lorenzo Marquis Robinson was arraigned Thursday on five counts of assault and battery upon corrections personnel. A local newspaper reports that two of the charges were felonies and the remaining three were misdemeanors.
An affidavit alleges that Robinson kicked and pushed jail workers on Sept. 18.
Robinson also has a pending felony charge of prisoner placing bodily fluid on a state employee, which is related to a June incident at the county jail. He faces up to 10 years in prison on that felony charge.
Robinson is due in court Nov. 19 for a bond appearance on both cases.
