Oklahoma music megastar Garth Brooks will be showcased in an hourlong special titled “Garth Brooks: Blame It All on My Roots, 5 Decades of Influences,” airing at 7 tonight on Great American Country.

In an intimate and revealing look at his return to performing, the Owasso resident provides an in-depth narrative about the creation of his long-running Las Vegas residency at the Encore at Wynn.

The exclusive GAC special, which features Brooks’ personal, never-before-seen footage and photos, features appearances by Brooks’ wife Trisha Yearwood, fellow Oklahoma country star Reba McEntire and Vegas visionary Steve Wynn.

It won’t be the last TV special this month featuring the Tulsa-born and Yukon-bred hitmaker.

As previously reported, Brooks will perform a rare live broadcast concert special, “Garth Brooks, Live from Las Vegas,” from the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 on the CBS Television Network.

This television concert event will feature the Owasso resident’s final performance of his critically acclaimed, one-man show at the Wynn Las Vegas, which has played to sold-out audiences for the past three years, according to a news release from the network.
