So driving a truck was what he did.
Boyd was driving the same route he had taken for two years, delivering USA Today between Dallas and Oklahoma City. Tuesday night, he was on I-35 in Ardmore when the tornado swooped down.
“It came on him so suddenly he was not able to do anything,” McCord said. “The truck was tossed around.”
It's unknown if he had stopped or was trying to pull over, but he died of a head injury, McCord said.
Boyd graduated from high school at Moss, said McCord, who lives in Lamar.
“He was a good kid. He loved sports, playing pool and he had a good driving record,” McCord said.
Boyd lived in Jones with his father and a sister, McCord said.
Funeral Services: Held Friday, in Holdenville.
