Gas prices in Rhode Island hold steady at $3.51

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gas prices in Rhode Island are averaging $3.51 per gallon for the third consecutive week.

A weekly survey released by AAA Southern New England on Monday finds the price of regular is 22 cents above the national average of $3.29 per gallon.

Prices have risen about 5 percent in Rhode Island from last year at this time, when the price of a gallon was an average of $3.35.
