PRYOR (AP) - Another 87 employees are being laid off from the Gatorade plant in Pryor.

The layoffs come amid declining demand for the sports drink during a national economic slowdown.

The company earlier announced layoffs of 22 salaried employees. Another 135 people are still employed there.

Plant manager Chris Weber says those laid off will get two months of full pay and six months of benefits coverage.

The $180 million PepsiCo-QTG plant, which opened in March, makes Gatorade and Propel Fitness Water drinks - brands that are subsidiaries of PepsiCo Inc.
