Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry is throwing out the first pitch before Saturday’s championship of the 15th annual Mickey Mantle Classic in Commerce, capping a week honoring the late Hall of Fame outfielder.

Perry won 314 games in his career, posting a 3.11 ERA.

He will be signing autographs at 11:30 a.m. and throwing out the first pitch at 1:30 p.m. Perry will also be speaking at the awards banquet Saturday night.

There will also be a silent and live auction of baseball memorabilia, including a Henry Golden Boy rifle with the Mickey Mantle Classic logo engraved on its stock with the words “In honor of the Commerce Comet” 2014 edition one of one.
