Eddie Harper's lawsuit, filed in Pittsburg County District Court, lists as defendants Steve Covington, who controlled Stipe's business interests, and several limited liability companies in which Stipe has an ownership stake.
The suit seeks to determine ownership interest of several properties, including the Gene and Agnes Stipe Building Complex, which is being leased temporarily as Pittsburg County's courthouse.
The lawsuit also aims to rescind the transfers of Stipe's oil and gas interests.

Don't get your hackles up over these SE Oklahoma scandals because this is what "they" want in SE Oklahoma. Ask them today and they will tell you how much Stipe did for them. They love the man. And when they tell you about the things Stipe did for them, ask them how many children is SE Oklahoma qualify for free lunches and the general poverty rate there. Then ask them about the #1 cash crop in SE Oklahoma. And now I read in the DOK that the city of McAllister has mispent millions of tax dollars. SE Oklahoma is doomed and they seem to like it that way.
