REDHAWKS 6, ISOTOPES 5

The RedHawks rallied for two runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to post their 17th consecutive home win Tuesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

By sweeping the five-game series against Albuquerque, the RedHawks essentially knocked the Isotopes out of the playoff chase. OKC leads Albuquerque by eight games with 13 games remaining.

“This was a huge homestand for us,” said George Springer, who drove in the game-winning run. “We needed to take at least three (games). We got out of here with five.”

SPRINGER HITS 36TH HOMER

Springer slammed his 36th home run, a solo shot, in the first inning. For the season, including 73 games at Double-A Corpus Christi, Springer is hitting .302 with 102 RBIs, 100 runs scored and 39 stolen bases.
