George Washington deserves honor

Why can't this country set aside one day a year as a national holiday to pay homage to the person responsible for its existence? George Washington was the only man with the leadership ability to lead the Continental Army to victory over the British in the Revolutionary War. Had it not been for Washington we would still be a part of England. Let's bring back Feb. 22 as a national holiday to honor his memory.
