Our smartphones have turned us into amateur photographers who like to share photos with friends on Facebook, Instagram and other sites. But what do we do with the rest of our photos?
As iPhone cameras have gotten better, so have the ways we can use our photos. In time for new holiday memories, I offer you a hodgepodge of ideas on editing pictures creatively using mobile applications, getting them printed and adding accessories to smartphones for interesting shots.
Editing effects
Turn an image into a kaleidoscope of images, an idea I saw when 15-year-old Savanna Spear, an Oklahoma City 10th grader, posted such a photo on Instagram (username: @savannaspear). Savanna used the Diptic mobile app for creating photo collages (99 cents, Peak Systems, iTunes and Android Google Play Store) to do this.
Create a mosaic of one photo from the photos in your iPhone's photo library using mymosaic — photo mosaic maker (99 cents, MindTrip Studios).
Ordering photos
