Get App-y: Movies develop apps of interest

Man of Steel, classic movies are among new movie-related apps available for tablets and smartphones.

The Oklahoma Film and Music Office has launched a free production guide app.

• And if you want to connect with the current movie “Man of Steel,” which releases Friday, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has an app to go with the movie. “The Man of Steel” game is available for the iPad for $4.99 and for iPhones and iPods for $2.99 on the iTunes store and for Android devices for $4.99 on both the Google Play store and the Amazon Appstore.

According to a news release, “The Man of Steel game” offers two game modes that feature cinematic sequences that track the movie story.

The games can be played in Story Mode and Survival Mode. It also allows Superman fans to extend the movie experience and game with favorite characters.
