Life360 app

Available for iPhones or Android devices, the Life360 app lets create circles of people to keep track of what their phones are. Their photos or IDs pop up on a map, and members of the circle can check in, share their location or send messages. The app is free, but premium services for $5 per month or $60 per year, both priced per circle, include roadside assistance, live advisers and other features.

Securus eZoom

The eZoom from Securus is a tracking device that people can place in cars, attach to bicycles or clip to key chains so they can track where it goes. Securus works with the eZoom apps made for Apple, Android or BlackBerry devices. The eZoom is $99, and a service plan ranges from $19.99 per month to discounts if you pay for a year or two years at a time. For more information, go to www.securusgps.com.

Editor's note: eZoom sent The Oklahoman a unit for review.
