Emma Stone has been very busy the last couple of years, appearing in the blockbuster “The Amazing Spider-Man,” “The Help” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love” while becoming one of the young stars worth watching on the red carpet.
The frequent redhead (who actually is a natural blond) really hit her style stride at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards when she chose a minimal peach cap-sleeve Calvin Klein gown. She’s gone on to more daring choices with a svelte Martin Grant top and skirt at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards and a red Lanvin dress embellished with crystal flowers at last year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. Whatever Stone wears, she manages to balance her youthful spirit with elegance and class. Maybe it has a little something to do with her stylist Petra Flannery or her mother.
“When I was a teenager and all the cool girls were wearing pajama pants at school, my mother forbid me to do that — or to let my bra straps show,” Stone recently told Vogue.
At the Los Angeles premiere for her new film “Gangster Squad,” which opened Friday, Stone proved that red really is her color. She chose a strapless red Lanvin dress with jewel accents, a bold necklace and matching red Christian Louboutin heels.
To get Stone’s fiery look, try the BCBG Max Azria lipstick-red cotton-and-lace strapless sweetheart “Roselle” bustier dress from Bluefly.com for $125.29 with a jeweled leather stretch belt from Loft for $34.99. For a necklace that makes a bold statement, get the Charlotte Russe fit-for-a-queen statement necklace for $12.99 or the Cayetano legacy necklace from Zappos.com for $110.99.
