Three people die in state crashes
Three people died in traffic accidents on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Rhoads was killed shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday in Okmulgee County when the sport utility vehicle in which she was a passenger ran off a road and rolled over. Both she and the driver, Ryan Masters, 20, of Okmulgee, were thrown from the SUV. Masters was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he was in critical condition. Neither was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
Underwood died after an accident about 9:30 a.m. Thursday four miles west of Shady Point. A trooper said she was traveling east on Calhoun Road when she drove off the roadway and into a ravine, where she hit a tree. She was wearing a seat belt.
Rhoades died after his motorcycle crashed into a rock about 3:30 p.m. Friday about four miles west of Okmulgee. Rhoades lost control of the bike as he traveled southbound around a curve on Sharp Road, the patrol said.
