SHAWNEE — The state championship still doesn't feel real to Kelsee Grovey.
The senior Shawnee guard and Oklahoman Super 5 team member helped lead the Wolves to an unbeaten season and the school's first girls basketball state championship last month.

Grovey averaged 13.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a senior.
“It still hasn't set in at all,” Grovey said of the title. “I'll be walking somewhere and someone will say congratulations, and it still just doesn't feel real.”
Grovey was the team's leading scorer, but also the Wolves' defensive stopper. She was always put on the other team's top offensive threat.
In the final minute of the third quarter of the title-game win over Tulsa East Central, Grovey made consecutive steals and coast-to-coast layups to give Shawnee a five-point lead heading into the final frame.
The Wolves' semifinal win over Carl Albert and the championship game were unfamiliar territory for Shawnee, just because of how close the games were.
The Titans jumped out to a stunning 10-0 lead in the first quarter before Shawnee came back to win.
