Whether you’re going to the beach or not, watch out for sharks!

But the ones found in the new book “Surf Sharks: The First Ride” and the accompanying gift pack are a fun bunch created by Shelley & Chance Wolf.

Stylized in bright colors and designs, this bunch of finned friends really know how to have a good time with their new super surfing buddies, Rip, Ozzy and Wade.

The tale is one that brings the cool sharks Hemi, Talon and Mavrik together with the boys to solve problems and discover similar fun interests.

And readers don’t even have to go into the water to make some waves with the gift pack of stickers, sticker book, bookmark and pop-up collector cards.

I had to try my hand at creating an ocean scene with “Talon” the tiger shark and Ozzy. It’s just enough paper bending and card punching to be fun.

This new book and gift pack are available at stores and on Amazon.com now.

One lucky Hiccups reader also will receive a free copy of the “Surf Sharks” gift pack and book. Just send and email with the subject line “Surf Sharks” to LLynn@opubco.com and a winner will be selected randomly. Please include your name and mailing address.

Email me before July 25 to be considered.

And have a great summer! Surf’s up, dude!
