Glacier park seeking bids for concessions contract

WEST GLACIER, Mont. (AP) — The National Park Service is seeking bids for a 16-year contract to operate hotels and other concessions in Glacier National Park.

The agency has released a prospectus outlining the requirements for operating five hotels, 10 food and beverage locations, eight retail locations as well as tours and other transportation.

Bids are due by March 14.

Glacier Park Inc. has held the contract since 1981. Its current contract expires at the end of 2013 and the new contract is scheduled to take effect in January 2014.
