A Glenpool man was charged Thursday with first-degree manslaughter stemming from a fatal fight at a party in east Tulsa less than two weeks ago.

Austin DeWayne Nation, 19, is accused of stabbing to death Fernando Torres with a knife in the “heat of passion” on Aug. 17 in the 11500 block of East 38th Street. Torres had three stab wounds in his chest and shortly thereafter was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Austin stabbed Torres, 20, during a fight after Austin became angry that he wasn’t allowed into a party at a residence, police said, adding that the two had a history of conflict.
