Unlike the USA Today Coaches poll, which only releases its individual ballots on its final poll, the Associated Press makes them public all season long.
The preseason AP poll was released Saturday, with the Cowboys coming in at No. 13. And using this handy tool from pollspeak.com, it’s easy to track where exactly each voter placed OSU. As expected, more than half (31 of 60, to be exact) put OSU in the 13-16 range, with 11 voters settling on the No. 13 spot.
Who voted the Cowboys the highest? That would be John Clay of the Lexington Herald-Leader, who put the Cowboys at No. 6.
And who was the only voter who completely left OSU off their ballot? That would be Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated, a publication that also did not have the Cowboys ranked in their preseason Top 25.
For those wondering, The Oklahoman does not vote in the various AP polls.
