Depot is celebrating 100 years with model trains, art competition
NORMAN — The Santa Fe Depot, 200 S Jones Ave., is celebrating its 100th anniversary with model trains and a railroad-theme art competition. Admission is free for the depot’s weekend events.

Model trains will run from 6 to 10 p.m. May 8 in conjunction with the Second Friday Circuit of Art, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 9 in celebration of National Train Day.
Entries for the railroad-theme art competition will be exhibited in the depot through May 31.

at comic book store

Colin Warde will be at Speeding Bullet Comics, 614 N Porter Ave., from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Warde has managed thousands of auctions of "Star Trek” props for It’s a Wrap since the company started auctioning the famous props on eBay in 2006. He’ll show off one of his favorite props from the film "Star Trek: First Contact” and will answer questions from fans.
