In response to Leonard Pitts Jr. (Commentary, Oct. 28): Conducting the war in Iraq was a unified decision by Congress, and this was after much soul-searching. Saddam Hussein had invaded Kuwait , killed his own people with weapons of mass destruction, thumbed his nose at the world, threatened everyone and was considered a clear and present danger to the world.
