Anniversary show is set

The Norman Philharmonic celebrates its anniversary with a 2 p.m. concert Sunday at the Nancy O'Brian Center for the Performing Arts, 1809 Stubbeman Ave.

Conductor Richard Zielinski will pay tribute to nationally-acclaimed composer Michael Daugherty with a concert featuring three of his works.

Also planned are selections by Leopold Mozart, Aaron Copland, Ludwig van Beethoven and Libby Larsen.

Jewel stages ‘The 39 Steps'

The Jewel Box Theatre continues its 2012-13 season with a production of “The 39 Steps.” Patrick Barlow's adaptation of the Alfred Hitchcock screenplay features a cast of four who play more than 150 characters throughout the evening. Performances continue through Feb. 10 with curtain times at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Pictured above are Kevin Logan and Crystal Ecker. On view through 2013 at the Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive, is “Reigns Supreme: The Little Black Dress.” Drawn from the center's textile collection, the exhibit features more than 30 examples of the simple, timeless fashion staple associated with Coco Chanel.
