Check out Edmond Exchange, a column that runs in The Oklahoman and on NewsOK about what is happening in Edmond. Each week readers submit questions and Edmond Exchange finds an answer. Here is one of the questions:

Reader Janie Bates  asked: “When will the intersection at Covell Road and Santa Fe Avenue be completed? Traffic backs up about a half-mile every day with people trying to turn south on Santa Fe. I usually have to wait through four to six lights to continue west on Covell.”

City Engineer Steve Manek  answered: “We currently do not have a time frame for improvements to that intersection. With the weather, the reopening of Kelly Avenue will be delayed slightly. Once Kelly is back open, some of the traffic will not be using this intersection which will alleviate some of the delay.”

Got questions about Edmond and its road construction, the public safety center, traffic or anything else? Email your questions to dbaldwin@opubco.com. Edmond Exchange will find an answer.
