Gov. Brad Henry signs driving-texting taboo for state employees

Proposed legislation banning motorists from texting while driving received a boost Thursday when Gov. Brad Henry signed an executive order prohibiting state employees from texting while driving on state business in state-owned or personal vehicles.

"I’m hopeful this action today will raise public awareness about this very important issue and will raise awareness in the Legislature,” Henry said.
