Handing out the grades on Oklahoma State's 42-31 loss to Oregon in the Holiday Bowl on Tuesday:

Tackling: D

Multiple big plays and touchdowns by Oregon came after missed tackles by the Cowboys, who struggled all night to wrap up Duck QB Jeremiah Masoli. Even in the first half, when the OSU defense allowed just seven points, tackling was poor.

Perrish Cox: B+

The junior cornerback from Waco, Texas, came up with a few big plays, including an interception, a blocked field goal and a 43-yard kickoff return that ignited a Cowboy touchdown drive.

Running game: C-

Kendall Hunter appeared timid and possibly still hampered by the knee injury suffered in mid-November, finishing with a season-low 37 yards. Keith Toston was effective early, but faded. The offensive line struggled at times and the running game — the heart of OSU's offense — was rendered useless in the fourth quarter.

Special teams: D

Typically strong all season, the OSU special teams struggled regularly Tuesday. OSU missed a field goal, had a couple of poor punts and gave up multiple long returns.
