James Dizikes, a 2001 graduate of Edmond North High School, is this year's Clayton Fever Scholarship winner. The scholarship is given to the outstanding senior in the College of Arts and Sciences department of philosophy.
Micah Sielert, a 2001 Edmond Memorial High School graduate, is the 2006 Wade Scholarship recipient.
The Wade scholarship is given to the outstanding junior in the philosophy department.
Dizikes, a philosophy and physics major, started out minoring in philosophy but decided to major in the topic after studying ancient philosophy during his first summer at OU. He is now considering attending graduate school.
Sielert is spending the spring semester studying German at Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria.
After graduation, Sielert hopes to teach English in Europe or Japan before attending graduate school.
