Graham Colton talks about new song, "Born to Raise Hell"

When he left the majors, Oklahoma City’s Graham Colton started immediately taking chances and making some of the best music of his career, and the things he says in this brief video about his upcoming new song, “Born to Raise Hell,” suggest that Colton is digging deeper.

I never expected Colton to write a song about a serial killer — that just wasn’t in his wheelhouse a few years ago — but here he is, writing about the notorious 1960s murderer Richard Speck, whose brutal killings paralyzed the nation in the mid-1960s and formed the backdrop for a memorable 2012 episode of “Mad Men.” Colton talks about the inspiration for this left turn, as well as the recording process at Blackwatch Studios in Norman.
