Grains flat or lower, livestock prices mixed

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain prices were unchangled or lower Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery was flat at $8.61 a bushel; March corn slid 11 cents to $7.2625 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.9125 a bushel; and January soybeans dropped 16.75 cents to $14.555 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures also were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle slipped 0.2 cent to $1.302 a pound; January feeder cattle added 0.83 cent to $1.496 a pound; February lean hogs shed 0.07 cent to 83.4 cents a pound.
