Gray scores 32 leading No. 19 Cal over UCLA 69-53

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Reshanda Gray scored 32 points, on 12-of-18 shooting, and pulled down 15 rebounds as No. 19 California beat UCLA 69-53 on Sunday night.

Cal led 37-31 at halftime and extended its lead to 56-39 after a 13-2 run midway through the half.

Atonye Nyingifa ended an over-4 minute field goal drought for UCLA, but the Bruins still trailed by double digits with 8:49 left.

Brittany Boyd added 18 points, five rebounds and six assists for California (14-5, 6-2). The Golden Bears held a 43-28 advantage on the glass.

Short-handed UCLA (10-11, 4-5) got 26 points from Nirra Fields. Nyingifa finished with eight points after making just 3 of 13 shots. The Bruins have been hurt by injuries this season and played just three players off of their bench, generating zero points.
