NORMAN — Walmart manager Nell Patterson has one less thing to take care of these days — her hair. Patterson watched Friday as her locks fell to the floor at the Norman Walmart, 333 Interstate Drive, during a shaving ceremony that ended the store's 2008 Bald is Beautiful Campaign to raise money for Children's Miracle Network.
Patterson was selected to have her head shaved after she raised the most money among the seven-member management team. Walmart employees donated money to the managers during the campaign. The store's goal was $2,000. All proceeds will go toward the Walmart/Sam's Club Childhood Cancer Research Lab.

Participating in the shaving ceremony were 2009 Oklahoma City Children's Miracle Network Champion Child Jacob Stoepker and Miss Edmond LibertyFest Talia Berning.
