'Greenfingers' leaves viewer feeling good

Something is missing. Scanning the shelves at the video store, looking at the theater listings in the newspaper, I see plenty of options boasting big budgets or big names.

Where are the stories? Where are the movies that will leave you feeling good about life when the credits start rolling?

With increasing success, I'm finding what is missing online. The latest find: "Greenfingers." This 2000 British dramatic comedy, based on a true story, starts with a small group of inmates being pulled from traditional prisons and moved to an experimental "open" prison where there are no outside walls or fences, only opportunities to get a second chance at life.

Colin Briggs (Clive Owen) appears to be the toughest case to crack, an inmate with a dark past and someone who had grown accustomed to life in a cell, shut off from society. He fights any attempt by others at becoming friends, and is especially put off by his elderly, yet feisty roommate Fergus Wilks (great performance by David Kelly).
