Grissom still adjusting to LB

by Ryan Aber Published: August 13, 2014

Geneo Grissom is still getting settled at linebacker.

The senior, who moved from defensive end after last season, said it might be into the season before he’s fully able to get a grasp on the position.

“Like cover drills, those are completely foreign to me,” Grissom said. “I’m adding that to my skill set I learned from playing defensive end.”

Grissom has been relying on his athleticism to help him cover for his shortcomings at linebacker while he adjusts.

“It makes me look a lot better on plays I didn’t do so well on,” Grissom said.

Grissom said he wasn’t particularly pleased with his performance in Saturday’s scrimmage but said it was beneficial for his development.
