MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — The Memphis Grizzlies have waived free agent guard Thomas Gardner.
Gardner had signed with Memphis Sept. 28. He appeared in one preseason game, scoring 2 points and collecting 1 rebound in four minutes Tuesday against the Washington Wizards in Richmond, Va.

He played most recently for the Atlanta Hawks.
The Grizzlies announced the move in a news release Thursday.
