3 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon toasted, ground cumin
½ teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon ground oregano
1 cup water, beef or vegetable broth
→Mix all dry ingredients and set aside. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain thoroughly. Wipe skillet clean, then reheat. Combine beef with seasoning mix and water or broth. Simmer 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
→Serve with warm taco shells, hot sauce, sour cream, sliced or mashed avocado, sliced tomatoes, diced onion and shredded lettuce and cheese.
