Group examines paranormal incidents Published: March 28, 2013

BARTLESVILLE -- Once or twice a week, someone calls a special group of investigators in northeastern Oklahoma because of a possible paranormal event.

The group gathers its equipment and travels to the home or business to check it out.

Bartlesville Paranormal Investigators have had more than 100 such cases since openings its business in July 2011, the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise reports.

Most of the investigations have been successful and the group has helped a family or business determine who or what the incident involves.

The newspaper reports that the calls the group receives often include an incident in which children are afraid to go to sleep because of the unexplained sounds and sights.

The group tries to "help people be comfortable in their homes and what may be living with them,” its members say.
