by Jacob Unruh Modified: October 4, 2013 at 11:05 am •  Published: October 4, 2013

When: 6:30 p.m., Friday

Where: Clement Pribil Stadium

Records: Carl Albert 3-1, 1-1 District 5A-2; McGuinness 2-2, 1-0

Last week: Carl Albert 42, Deer Creek 24; McGuinness 56, El Reno 13

Players to watch: Carl Albert — Chantz Woodberry, RB. At 6-foot-1 and 231 pounds, Woodberry is a big running back that compliments the style of speedy quarterback Stevie Thompson. Woodberry quietly had a big game against Deer Creek last week, rushing for more than 100 yards.

McGuinness — Johnathan Higgins, OL. The Irish’s offensive line is completely healthy will be the key Friday. Higgins is just one of many players to watch up front.

Storylines: Carl Albert — It’s the second of the three toughest games in the district. Last week the Titans pounded Deer Creek. This week they get McGuinness and then finish the gauntlet with No. 2 Guthrie next week.

McGuinness — The battle up front will be fun to watch. Both teams have big linemen, but which one will win the battle? The Irish like to call its line “The Million Dollar Line” and this is a chance to really show its worth.

The pick: Carl Albert 24, McGuinness 17
