Guide to No. 1 Jenks at No. 5 Westmoore

by Jacob Unruh Modified: October 18, 2013 at 12:10 pm •  Published: October 18, 2013

When: 7 p.m., Friday

Where: Moore Stadium

Radio: FM 107.7/WWLS-FM 98.1

Records: Jenks 6-0, 3-0 District 6A-2; Westmoore 6-0, 3-0

Last week: Jenks 28, Broken Arrow 7; Westmoore 16, Putnam City 14

Players to watch: Jenks — Steven Parker, S/WR. Parker, who is No. 1 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30, has nearly 30 offers across the country but has yet to commit. He has been making plays on both sides of the ball this season and will play a vital role for the Trojans.

Westmoore — Dahu Green, WR. The junior is off to a strong start, catching six touchdown passes this season. If he can get open against Jenks’ loaded secondary, that will be huge for the Jaguars.

Storylines: Jenks — Can anyone do much against that secondary? It not only boasts Parker, but Oklahoma State commitment Dylan Harding roams alongside him. There hasn’t been much success so far this season.

Westmoore — The Jaguars are the obvious underdogs. Can they embrace that role and pull off the upset? Last week wasn’t a good sign, but that could just be a hiccup.

The pick: Jenks 28, Westmoore 17
