When: 7 p.m., Friday
Where: Choctaw High School
Radio: KIMY-FM 101.5
Records: Kingfisher 13-0 (6-0 District 3A-3, first); Seminole 13-0 (6-0 District 3A-2, first)
Players to watch: Kingfisher — Landon Nault, RB. Nault has 2,199 yards rushing this season (third in Class 3A) and 44 rushing touchdowns (first in the class). He’s missing the Wendy’s Heisman Trophy ceremony on Friday for this game and could be poised for a big night.
Seminole — Papi White, RB. White leads Class 3A with 3,133 rushing yards and trails only Nault and Blanchard’s Braden Stringer with 40 touchdowns on the ground. This is his chance to shine and start proving what some believe — that he is the best running back in the class.
Storylines: Kingfisher — The Yellowjackets’ stout defense has six shutouts this season, but slowing down White will not be easy. It could come down to a big turnover or late stop.
Seminole — How do the Chieftains slow down Nault? They haven’t faced a running back of his caliber all season. If they can slow him down, they have a good chance.
The pick: Kingfisher 35, Seminole 28
