Guide to No. 2 Wagoner vs. No. 1 Anadarko

by Jacob Unruh Modified: November 30, 2013 at 11:10 am •  Published: November 30, 2013

When: 1:30 p.m., Saturday

Where: Stillwater High School

Radio: KRXO-FM 107.7

Records: Wagoner 12-0 (7-0 District 4A-3, first); Anadarko 12-0 (7-0 District 4A-1, first)

Last week: Wagoner 28, Woodward 21; Anadarko 40, Catoosa 14

Players to watch: Wagoner — Lawrence Evitt, RB. An early Super 30 member, Evitt has rushed for nearly 2,500 yards and  29 touchdowns following a season in which he was named to The Oklahoman’s All-State team.

Anadarko — RJ Sink, RB. Sink has been equally as good as Evitt, rushing for just more than 2,000 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Storylines: Wagoner — The Bulldogs are looking for redemption after falling to Anadarko last season in the semifinals. It’ll be a battle of running backs, too. If Evitt outperforms Sink, things could go well for Wagoner.

Anadarko — The Warriors need to win the battle up front. They have an entirely new offensive line this season and so far it’s gone better than expected. The Bulldogs will present a stiff challenge, though.

The pick: Anadarko 28, Wagoner 21
