Guide to No. 8 Hartshorne at Oklahoma Christian

by Jacob Unruh Modified: November 29, 2013 at 12:35 pm •  Published: November 29, 2013

When: 7:30 p.m., Friday

Where: Oklahoma Christian School

Records: Hartshorne 10-2 (5-1 District 2A-6, second); Oklahoma Christian 9-3 (4-2 District 2A-2, third)

Last week: Hartshorne 17, Commerce 7; OCS 38, Lindsay 16

Players to watch: Hartshorne — Dylan Pingelton, QB. Pingleton threw both touchdown passes last week in a tightly contested game that is unlikely to be duplicated against a high-powered OCS team. Pingelton will be relied on to help score more points.

OCS — Luke Frankfurt, RB. His name has been popping up a lot lately, and for good reason. He continues to score a lot of touchdowns and pile up yards while becoming the center of the offense.

Storylines: Hartshorne — Slow down the Saints’ offense. There have been times this season when the Miners’ defense has allowed 40-plus points, and that simply cannot happen if they want to take down the defending champions.

OCS — Their best defense may be their offense. Control the ball and clock, leaving the Miners little answers and a chance to advance to the semifinals.

The pick: OCS 34, Hartshorne 28
